Currently compliant for VIC, NSW, and QLD, security companies and licensed venues such as pubs, clubs, and hotels are legally required to maintain detailed records of incidents.
To support this, many venues use Security Registers—a compliant platform designed specifically for this purpose. At the same time, security companies rely on Guardhouse to manage workforce operations, including timekeeping and incident reporting.
While both systems serve distinct roles, this has often created a practical challenge.
Guards are required to record the same information twice—once for operational purposes in Guardhouse, and again for compliance within Security Registers. This duplication not only increases administrative effort but can also lead to inconsistencies and confusion on-site.
The integration between Guardhouse and Security Registers has been developed to address this issue.
With this integration, guards continue to work entirely within Guardhouse. They clock in, record incidents, and complete their shifts as they normally would. Once submitted, this information is automatically shared with Security Registers.
This creates a single workflow for guards, while ensuring that venues receive the compliant records they require.
The result is a clearer, more structured approach to managing both operations and compliance.
Security companies maintain their existing processes within Guardhouse. Venues continue to operate within Security Registers. Both systems remain in place but are now connected.
By removing duplication and improving data flow, the integration supports:
- Consistent incident reporting
- Reduced administrative workload
- Clearer accountability across sites
- Compliance with state-based requirements
This reflects a broader shift within the industry towards connected systems—where operational efficiency and regulatory compliance are managed together, rather than separately.
