International Security Expo returned to Olympia London on 29–30 September. Thousands of security professionals came together for two days of conferences, live demonstrations, and specialist zones, with more than 300 exhibitors on the floor.
Guardhouse was there at Stand E100, and we came away with plenty to think about.

Meeting the people behind the industry
For us, the value of an event like ISE has never been the exhibition floor alone. It's the conversations in between: between sessions, between meetings, between people working through similar challenges in different parts of the industry.

Over the two days, the Guardhouse team spoke with existing customers about what's working and what isn't, and with businesses who were new to the platform about how it supports workforce management, operations, and compliance. We also introduced our new mobile app to attendees at the stand, alongside demonstrations of the wider platform.
But as much as we were there to talk about Guardhouse, we were also there to listen. We asked what's working for security businesses right now, where the biggest operational challenges sit, and what people think security technology still needs to do better. Those conversations, about increasingly complex workforces, evolving compliance requirements and growing pressure to operate more efficiently, are exactly the kind that shape where we take the platform next.

Leaders in Security at Wolves of Tokyo
After the exhibition floor closed on the first day, we continued the discussion elsewhere.
On 29 September, Guardhouse and Deploi co-hosted Leaders in Security, a private networking event at Wolves of Tokyo. More than 80 companies attended, bringing together existing Guardhouse customers, new connections, and senior leaders from across the UK physical security industry.
There were no presentations or set agendas. The focus was relaxed, direct discussion, with existing relationships and new ones in the same room.

We were also joined by representatives from industry bodies and by Professor Martin Gill, whose research continues to shape thinking across the security sector. Professor Gill recently joined Guardhouse Co-Founder and CEO Jack Alpe for a webinar on his latest research. Having him there in person gave attendees the chance to discuss that work directly.
Leaders in Security is part of a new national event series from Guardhouse and Deploi. It is designed to build relationships and encourage innovation across the UK security industry throughout the year.
What comes next
What we heard on the stand and at Leaders in Security will inform much of what comes next for Guardhouse.
