Third Time's The Charm

Holistic Industries uses Guardhouse to seamlessly combine online rostering, invoicing and payroll for their growing labour-hire and security solutions company. They serve clients across the large footprint of Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens and Greater Hunter Region areas.

'A workforce management system is essential to support our growth and streamline operations.'

Two trials of other products confirmed for MD, Ben Dewson, that a workforce management system is essential to support growth and streamline their operations, but they fell short on features, integration and usability. “We had been using an online rostering system for some time”, said Ben. “Then we looked around for one to also solve our invoicing and payroll issues”. They tried one that seemed to tick the boxes but found the user experience subpar and slow. Third time's the charm.

'Guardhouse helps us deliver a better staff and rostering experience.'

With a clear scope of what a new system needed to deliver, Ben switched to Guardhouse as it’s SLED compliant and packed with the features they need. Priorities are streamlined payroll and invoicing with no manual or double data entry and an easy to use back-of-house system with staff app for rostering and smooth operations. An HR platform will make it easier to grow their offer of short term, long term, temporary, and permanent labour across diverse industries, as well as security patrols.

Ben says in the six months they’ve used Guardhouse they’re enjoying a better staff and rostering experience. “Back of house, Guardhouse is more complex and detailed than the previous systems and we’re tweaking the moving parts with them to make it perfect for us,” Ben explained. “It takes time to get the back-of-house settings and details right to avoid errors, but this makes it easier for staff, and has reduced our COO Charlie’s stress levels!”
