Did You Know? Site Readiness Starts Before the First Shift
A security officer’s first shift at a site is often treated as the point where service delivery begins. In practice, much of that shift has already been shaped before the officer arrives. A filled roster is not the same as a ready deployment. The officer may still need current site instructions, clear access arrangements, contact details, reporting expectations, and an understanding of what should happen if something changes. The same principle applies whether a provider is mobilising a new contract or assigning an officer to an established site for the first time. That is why site readiness is more than an administrative task. It depends on how well information moves between the worker, site, shift, and operations team.
